Trade Setup: BTC/USD Short
Bias: Bearish continuation / Rejection from premium supply Entry Zone (Sell Limit / Market Execution): $79,250 – $79,620(Aligned with the current Ask/Bid ~79,580 region and the overlapping Fibonacci retracement levels between 70.5% ($86,019) and 75% / 79% corrective pullbacks, acting as a structural premium discount array). Stop Loss (SL): $88,000(Placed securely above the 75.0% Fibonacci level ($87,835) and local swing highs to invalidate the setup cleanly if macro momentum breaks higher). Take Profit (TP) Targets: TP1: $72,200 (Recent local swing support / liquidity pool) TP2: $67,650 (Aligned with the 25.0% Fibonacci retracement level) TP3 (Extended): $57,570 (Major structural low / 0.0% Fib baseline) Risk & Position Sizing Recommendations Risk Capital Allocation: Risk no more than 1% to 2% of your total trading capital on this single setup. Risk-to-Reward Ratio (RRR): Entering at ~$79,500 with a Stop Loss at $88,000 requires risking $8,500 per BTC. Targeting TP2 ($67,650) yields a reward of ~$11,850, translating to a robust ~1.40 reward-to-risk ratio, scaling past 2.5+ if held toward TP3. Leverage Discipline: If trading crypto CFDs or leveraged margin (such as via Pepperstone), keep nominal leverage conservative (e.g., 2x to 5x max) to prevent high volatility wicks from triggering premature stop-outs before the macro trend materializes. Execution Rules: Look for a lower timeframe (e.g., 4H or 1H) market structure shift (MSS) or bearish change of character (CHoCH) inside the entry zone before committing full size. Consider scaling out 50% of the position at TP1 and moving your stop loss to break-even to secure a risk-free trade.
