USDCHF Daily Outlook Update The Swiss Franc (CHF) continues to rise against the US Dollar (USD) due to high financial stability in Switzerland and low demand for the Greenback, as market players analyze the stage of the Federal Reserve (Fed) monetary policy tightening process. The USD/CHF pair continued the fall in its value on Thursday, reaching one-month lows under 0.8200 before reversing some of the gains. Over the past few weeks, market participants have been actively buying the Swiss Franc amid falling yields on global securities, amid worries about record-high debt in the major economies. US debt increased to 124% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Q2 of 2026, French debt to 119%, and Japanese debt to over 200% of the country's GDP. The debt in Switzerland stays near 15%. It is the main reason for the 2.3% USD/CHF fall in the last two weeks. Commerzbank analysts point out that "Swiss fiscal positions are considerably stronger than those of any other industrialized country." Although they mention worries at home regarding the ability of Switzerland to stick to its "debt brake in view of demographic pressures and military spending." Nonetheless, "such concerns are still much less serious than in other European countries." As shown in the latest minutes from the Monetary Policy Assessment of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), published on Thursday, the outlook for the upcoming quarters is moderately positive. Speaking about inflation, SNB policymakers do not observe any evidence of spillovers at the moment, but still note that high energy prices will leave risks for inflation skewed to the upside. The USD/CHF price at 0.8213 maintains its bearish near-term bias by staying below the neckline of the Double Top formation, which occurs at the level of 0.8230, a popular level where reversals usually take place. Momentum oscillators on the 4-hour chart show negative readings, with RSI (14) standing at 34 and a negative MACD signal suggesting that the sellers' advantage remains unchanged in spite of the proximity of the support levels. A drop below the mentioned 0.8230 level will confirm a Double Top formation before the level of 0.8400. This will add additional selling pressure to the area of the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of the September-October rally at 0.8195, which is currently holding the bears off, and the lows of September 16 and 22 at 0.8180. The double top measured objective is seen at the September 9 low at 0.8070. Conversely, if there is a bullish response above 0.8230, the market will concentrate on Monday's high near 0.8270 before moving to the October 15 high near 0.8315.
