In March 2025, the Czech Republic experienced a year-on-year increase in industrial production of 1.4%, exceeding the market's initial prediction of a 0.2% rise. This follows a 1.5% growth recorded in February. Manufacturing production saw a modest rise, increasing by 0.5% compared to no growth in February. However, there was a deceleration in the growth of electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which rose by 12.7% down from 17.5%. The decline in output for mining and quarrying sectors worsened slightly, dropping by 3.7% compared to the previous decline of 4.6%. Furthermore, the seasonally adjusted monthly industrial activity experienced a 0.4% increase in March, showing a slowdown from the 1.7% growth observed in February.
