Spain's industrial production saw a 1.7% increase year-on-year in May 2025, a notable rise from the 0.6% growth recorded in April. This marks the most significant uptick in industrial activity since December 2024. The growth was particularly driven by an acceleration in output for consumer goods, which rose by 2.5% compared to 1.3% previously; capital goods, which increased by 1.5% from 0.9%; and energy, which went up by 2.2% from 0.8%. However, on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output experienced a decline of 0.6% in April following a 0.8% decrease in the preceding month.
