Thailand’s domestic car sales rose 10.6% year-on-year in May 2026, a sharp acceleration from the 2.54% growth recorded in April, according to the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). This marked the third consecutive month of expansion in domestic sales. In contrast, vehicle production fell 17.94% from a year earlier to 114,214 units, as export markets were hit hard by disruptions linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
