Spain's industrial production lost momentum in June, rising 1.1% year-on-year—the weakest annual increase in four months—after a downwardly revised 3.1% gain in May. Growth was driven primarily by energy (+3.8%) and intermediate goods (+3.1%), while output fell in capital goods (-0.3%) and consumer goods (-1.4%). On a monthly basis, industrial production declined 0.7%, more than reversing May’s 1.0% increase.
