Industrial production in the Czech Republic rose by 4.0% year-on-year in June 2026, up from a revised 2.0% increase in May and marking the strongest annual expansion since December 2025. The largest gain was recorded in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector, which jumped 25.1% following a 2.1% rise in the previous month.
Manufacturing output also firmed, advancing 2.6% after a 2.2% increase in May. The improvement was driven by higher production of computer, electronic and optical products (16.7% vs. 11.0%), repair and installation of machinery and equipment (8.1% vs. -6.3%), paper and paper products (4.5% vs. 2.4%), and food products (4.3% vs. 2.9%). Meanwhile, mining and quarrying returned to growth, expanding 1.1% after an 8.3% contraction in May.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production climbed 1.2% in June, rebounding from a 0.4% decline in the previous month.
