FX.co ★ Chile Producer Inflation Accelerates in July

Chile’s producer inflation accelerated to 20.5% year-on-year in July 2026, up from 19.7% in June and matching May’s rate, which was the highest since August 2022. The increase was driven primarily by mining, where prices jumped 34.7% after a 32.5% rise in June, supported by a sharper increase in copper prices (35.3% vs. 32.9%). Manufacturing prices also picked up, advancing 6.5% compared with 5.5% in the previous month. By contrast, utility prices rose just 0.5%, a marked slowdown from the 5.2% increase recorded in June. On a monthly basis, producer prices climbed 1.9%, accelerating from a 0.6% gain in the prior month.
