Rheinmetall has announced that it has bagged another substantial order, valued in the high tens of millions of euros, from the Spanish government. Under this agreement, Rheinmetall is slated to provide the Spanish military with a total of 104,000 mortar rounds, in 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm calibers, by the end of 2025. The mortar rounds, which have varying ranges between 60mm and 120mm, are intended for use by the Spanish army's infantry units.
Recently, Rheinmetall has also been awarded a contract to furnish the Spanish army with 155mm artillery ammunition, a deal which is worth over 200 million euros.
