AECOM (ACM), a leading infrastructure consulting firm, announced on Wednesday that it has secured a five-year contract from the U.S. Army Environmental Command to deliver environmental remediation services.
Although the financial details of the contract remain undisclosed, it encompasses extensive investigation and remediation efforts targeting hazardous and toxic waste, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). These services will be rendered across various locations throughout the contiguous United States, as well as in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska.
Frank Sweet, the Chief Executive of AECOM's global Environment business, stated, "We now hold a series of key environmental remediation contracts with our U.S. government clients, including the U.S. Army, Navy, FEMA, and NASA, positioning us well to support our clients in meeting regulatory demands for emerging contaminants like PFAS."
