Reinsurance Group of America, Inc. (RGA) announced on Wednesday that Axel Andre will join the company as Executive Vice President on June 24, 2024. Following a brief transition period, Andre is set to be appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective August 5.
Andre will take over from Todd Larson, who has dedicated nearly three decades to RGA. Larson will step into the role of Special Advisor to the CEO until his retirement on December 31, 2024.
Andre comes to RGA from American Equity Investment Life Insurance Co., where he has served as Executive Vice President and CFO since 2021.
Before his tenure at AEL, Andre held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at Jackson National Life Insurance. His prior experience includes seven years at American International Group, Inc., with his most recent role there being CFO for their Individual Retirement business.
