Ericsson (ERIC) has announced the conclusion of the tenure of the independent compliance monitor appointed by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with its 2019 Deferred Prosecution Agreement, which addressed historical violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. On March 28, 2024, the monitor certified to the DOJ that Ericsson's anti-corruption compliance program meets the necessary requirements. Additionally, the Plea Agreement from March 2023 with the DOJ expired as of June 2.
Borje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson, stated, "Over the past four years, we have implemented significant compliance requirements and processes."
