Retail sales in Denmark experienced a slight decline in June following a recovery in the previous month, according to preliminary data from Statistics Denmark released on Friday.
Retail sales fell by 0.1% month-on-month in June, countering a 0.7% increase in May, which marked the first rise in three months.
Specifically, clothing sales dropped by 4.9% on a monthly basis in June. In contrast, sales of food and other groceries saw a 0.7% increase. Sales of other consumables experienced a modest 0.1% rise.
Annually, retail sales grew at a slower pace of 0.8% in June, compared to a 2.6% increase in the prior month.
