Vodafone has provided additional details concerning the merger of Vodafone UK and Three UK, as stipulated by the updated UK Listing Rules. On June 14, 2023, Vodafone Group Plc revealed that agreements had been finalized with CK Hutchison Group Telecom Holdings, a subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings, to merge their respective UK telecommunications divisions, Vodafone UK and Three UK.
Upon completion of the merger, Vodafone anticipates achieving significant efficiencies, projected to exceed £700 million in recurring annual cost and capital expenditure synergies by the fifth year after completion, with a net present value (NPV) estimated at over £7 billion.
