According to preliminary data released on Friday by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, retail sales volume turnover in Slovenia experienced an uptick in November, primarily driven by increased consumer demand for food products.
Excluding automotive fuel, retail sales rose by 0.4% compared to the previous month. Within this category, food product sales saw an increase of 1.0%, while sales of non-food items showed a modest rise of 0.1%.
When including automotive fuel, overall sales grew by 1.8%.
Year-on-year, the retail sales volume remained constant. However, when excluding automotive fuel, there was a notable decline of 4.3%. Conversely, sales of food products increased by 3.0%, and non-food sales went up by 1.5%. Over the January to November period, the retail sales turnover decreased by 0.4% compared to the previous year.
