The producer prices in Croatia continued their downward trend towards the end of the year, according to data released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics on Monday.
The data revealed that the producer price index dropped by 1.4% year-on-year in December, marking a slower decline compared to the 3.6% decrease observed in November. This decline in prices represents the twelfth consecutive month of decreases.
In the domestic market, prices decreased by 2.3% on an annual basis in December, whereas in the foreign market, there was a slight increase of 0.3%.
However, when assessed on a month-on-month basis, producer prices experienced an increase of 1.5% in December, reversing the 0.3% decline registered in the preceding month.
Notably, when energy is excluded, the producer prices for the total industry saw an annual growth of 1.3%, although they slightly decreased by 0.1% from the previous month.
