In February 2025, Poland's current account reversed from a surplus to a deficit, amounting to EUR 220 million. This contrasts with a surplus of EUR 1,635 million in the same month of 2024 and defies market predictions of a EUR 650 million deficit. The goods account experienced a deficit of EUR 919 million, shifting from a prior surplus of EUR 109 million. The primary income deficit expanded to EUR 2,384 million from EUR 1,501 million, while the secondary income deficit grew to EUR 383 million from EUR 327 million. Conversely, the services sector surplus increased to EUR 3,466 million, up from EUR 3,354 million.
