The annual inflation rate in Japan slightly decreased to 3.5% in May 2025, down from 3.6% recorded in the preceding two months, reaching its lowest point since November. On the other hand, core inflation ascended to a two-year high of 3.7%, up from 3.5% in April. On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.3%, higher than the 0.1% rise observed in April.
