In May 2025, Poland's producer prices declined by 1.5% compared to the same month the previous year, slightly exceeding market forecasts of a 1.4% decrease, following a 1.6% reduction in April. This marked the 23rd month in a row of producer price deflation. The decrease was influenced by reduced prices in several sectors, including mining and quarrying, which saw a significant drop of 10.7% compared to a 9.2% decrease in April, as well as manufacturing prices falling by 1.2% versus the previous month's 1.5%. Additionally, the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning saw a price decline of 1.6% compared to a 0.2% increase the month before. Conversely, price growth in the water supply and waste management sector slowed to 2.5% from 3.4%. On a monthly basis, producer prices contracted by 0.3% in May, following a 0.2% decline in April.
