Taiwan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate experienced a slight decrease, dropping to 3.33% in July 2025—marking the lowest figure since November 2000—from 3.34% in June. Notably, the total number of unemployed individuals rose by 5,000, reaching 409,000, while the number of employed persons increased by 21,000 to a total of 11.638 million. The youth unemployment rate, accounting for job seekers aged 20 to 24, rose to 11.91%, the highest in ten months, from 11.71% in the prior month. Conversely, the labor force participation rate climbed to 59.51% in July, its highest point since 1990, up from 59.38% in June.
