In July 2025, Macau experienced a 14.5% year-on-year increase in tourist arrivals, reaching a total of 3.46 million. This growth rate is slightly higher than the 13.3% rise recorded in the prior month. The number of same-day tourists spiked 24.1%, while overnight tourist numbers saw a modest rise of 3.7%. There were no changes in the average duration of tourists' stays, fixed at 1.2 days. Over the same period, the duration of overnight tourists' stays remained at 2.4 days, although there was a slight decrease in the duration of same-day visitors' stays to 0.2 day from 0.3 day.
Looking at specific markets, arrivals from Mainland China notably increased, going up by 17.4% to 2.56 million. The number of tourists from mainland China traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme likewise saw substantial growth, rising by 23.6%. Moreover, tourist numbers from Hong Kong and Taiwan also showed positive growth, at 6.2% (totaling to 625.34 thousand) and 21.4% (92.04 thousand) respectively.
Within the first seven months of the same year, the number of international visitors to Macau increased by 2.8%%, hitting a total of 177.77 thousand.
