In the first eight months of 2025, Belarus experienced a year-on-year decrease in industrial production of 0.8%. This marks the second consecutive month of decline, following a 0.3% reduction in the January to July period. The decrease was primarily driven by a 1.2% drop in manufacturing and a 0.2% decline in the water supply, waste management, and remediation sector. However, these losses were partially counterbalanced by increases in mining and quarrying, which rose by 2.8%, and the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning, which grew by 2.0%.
