In October 2025, the S&P Global US Manufacturing PMI experienced a slight increase, reaching 52.2 from the previous month's 52.0, surpassing the forecasted 52.0. This preliminary estimate highlights an enhancement in manufacturing conditions for the ninth month out of the past ten, driven by increased production levels and the most significant uptick in new orders observed in 20 months. Nonetheless, employment growth decelerated, hitting its lowest in three months, while there was only a minimal rise in input inventories. The index measuring suppliers’ delivery times had a modest impact on the overall PMI, indicating that lead times extended more slowly compared to September.
