In November 2025, Belgium's business confidence indicator increased by 0.8 points to a reading of -8.2, exceeding the market forecast of -8.7. Despite this rise, the indicator remains in negative territory, a trend ongoing since early 2022. Sentiment improved in the manufacturing sector, with the index moving from -11.2 in October to -9.9, and similarly in business-related services, where it increased to -2.2 from -3.9. Conversely, confidence in the construction sector saw a decline, as the index dropped to -6.5 from -6.1. Meanwhile, the persistent uncertainty surrounding U.S. tariffs continued to weigh on trade, resulting in a decrease in the index from -6.1 to -8.9.
