In October 2025, Denmark experienced a 3.5% decline in manufacturing production compared to the previous month. This decline comes after an upwardly revised 8.6% rise in September, marking the most significant increase since April 2024. The primary contributors to the downturn in October were a marked contraction in the pharmaceutical sector, which fell by 11.6% following a 25.9% increase in September, and a decrease in transport equipment by 25.9%, compared to a 35.3% rise previously. However, there was notable improvement in the metal and fabricated metal products sector, which rebounded with a 21.0% increase, reversing a 7.6% decline in September. On a yearly basis, and without seasonal adjustments, manufacturing output showed a slight increase of 0.2% in October, after a robust 10.7% rise in the prior period.
