This movement marked a recovery from two consecutive sessions of notable declines, as growth permeated all sectors. The index rebounded from its nearly four-week low, driven by bargain hunting that followed recent downturns. Similarly, mainland markets experienced a resurgence, bolstered by a renewed vigor in tech stocks which positively influenced regional sentiment. Analysts at Goldman Sachs have projected that Chinese equities could potentially increase by approximately 30% by the conclusion of 2027, pointing to ongoing pro-market policies, enhanced corporate earnings, and a steady influx of capital as contributing factors. The Hang Seng Tech Index notably surpassed expectations with a 1.0% rise, fueled by the striking market entry of MetaX Integrated Circuits Shanghai. The chipmaker saw its share prices skyrocket approximately 755% after securing around USD 585.8 million in its initial public offering. Nonetheless, overall market gains were held in check by investor caution ahead of the upcoming release of Hong Kong's November inflation data. Among individual performers, Pop Mart International rose by 3.7%, Trip.com increased by 2.6%, and both SMIC and Meituan saw gains of 2.4%.
