In December 2025, Turkey's manufacturing industry confidence index maintained a steady position at 100.8 for the third consecutive month, indicating a stable sentiment across the sector and marking its highest point in five months. Several sub-indicators demonstrated improvement: the employment outlook increased from 99.7 in November to 101.4, and the current stock of finished goods rose from 96.8 to 99.4. Additionally, the general business situation showed signs of strengthening, climbing from 91.0 to 92.9, while the volume of output witnessed a slight increase, moving from 108.0 to 110. Conversely, some forward-looking indicators exhibited a decline in sentiment. The total amount of orders fell from 88.2 to 86.3, orders over the past three months decreased from 104.6 to 100.8, export orders dropped from 111.5 to 110, and expectations for fixed investment expenditure softened from 106.5 to 105.6. These shifts suggest a slightly more cautious outlook, notwithstanding the overall stable confidence levels.
