Hungary’s economic growth showed a slight improvement at the end of 2025, with gross domestic product rising by 0.7% year-on-year in the fourth quarter, up from 0.6% in the third quarter of 2025. The data, updated on 30 January 2026, indicate a modest strengthening in activity as the year drew to a close.
Both the current and previous figures are based on year-over-year comparisons, measuring the change in GDP in a given quarter against the same quarter a year earlier. While the increase from 0.6% to 0.7% is small, it suggests that Hungary’s economy managed to maintain—and slightly improve—its growth momentum going into 2026.
