Turkey’s tourism sector ended 2025 on a stronger footing as the growth in foreign arrivals accelerated in December on a year-over-year basis. According to data updated on 30 January 2026, foreign arrivals in Turkey rose by 4.99% in December 2025 compared with the same month a year earlier, up sharply from a 2.61% increase recorded in November 2025.
The figures are based on a year-over-year comparison, where both the current and previous indicators measure the change in arrivals relative to the same month of the prior year. The improvement from November’s 2.61% to December’s 4.99% suggests strengthening demand from international visitors at the close of 2025, highlighting a firmer recovery trend in Turkey’s inbound tourism heading into 2026.
