Argentina’s retail sector posted a sharp acceleration in growth at the end of 2025, with December retail sales rising 25.5% year-over-year, up from a 21.2% increase in November 2025. The latest data, updated on 25 February 2026, highlight strengthening consumer activity on an annual comparison basis.
Both figures reflect year-over-year changes, comparing each month’s retail sales to the same month a year earlier. While November had already shown robust expansion, December’s stronger print suggests momentum in consumer spending carried through the close of 2025, reinforcing signs of resilience in Argentina’s domestic demand environment.
