Latvia’s industrial sector posted a strong start to 2026, with industrial production jumping 13.2% year-on-year in January. The latest data, updated on 6 March 2026, show a sharp acceleration from December 2025, when output grew by 1.0% compared with a year earlier.
The figures are based on a year-over-year comparison, measuring January 2026 industrial production against January 2025. The previous reading for December 2025 similarly compared activity with December 2024. The move from 1.0% to 13.2% points to a significant strengthening in Latvia’s industrial performance as the new year began.
