Ghana’s economy expanded by 5.8% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from a 5.5% increase in the previous quarter. The services sector (8.6%) remained the primary driver of growth, contributing more than half of the overall GDP increase. Within services, the strongest gains came from information and communication, transport and storage, education, and financial and insurance activities.
Agriculture also strengthened, growing by 5.3% on the back of higher crop production. In contrast, industrial output rose by just 1.9%, as improvements in manufacturing and electricity were more than offset by a sharp decline in oil and gas production.
For the full year 2025, GDP expanded by 6%, the fastest pace since 2019, compared with an upwardly revised growth rate of 5.8% in 2024.
