The annual inflation rate eased for a second consecutive month, dropping to 0.6% in February 2026—its lowest level since March 2024—down from 1.4% in January. Price growth slowed across several categories, including restaurants and hotels (6.1% vs. 9% in January); food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.5% vs. 3.7%); alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.8% vs. 5.8%); furnishings and household equipment (6.6% vs. 8.4%); and miscellaneous goods and services (2.3% vs. 2.7%). On a monthly basis, the consumer price index (CPI) declined by 0.2%, following a 1.7% drop in the previous month.
