FX.co ★ Euro Area Services Sector Growth Nearly Stalls

The S&P Global Flash Eurozone Services PMI slipped to 50.1 in March 2026 from 51.9 in February, undershooting market expectations of 51.1. The latest reading signaled that growth in the services sector had almost ground to a halt, marking the weakest performance since the contraction recorded in May of the previous year. New orders declined again, while price pressures intensified notably, driven by the impact of the war in the Middle East. At the same time, services employment edged higher, though only marginally and at the slowest pace since last September.
