The HALPIM Manufacturing PMI eased to 50.4 in March 2026, down from a downwardly revised 51.2 in February, and remained below its long‑term monthly average of 52.6. Growth continued to be uneven across sub‑indices: new orders and output still expanded but at a slower pace, while both employment and supplier delivery times stayed in contraction territory. External demand softened slightly, with declines in both import and export indices, and inventories of purchased inputs and finished goods registered modest increases. Purchase prices, however, rose sharply, posting the strongest monthly gain and signaling mounting cost pressures. Overall, most indices remained in expansionary territory but hovered close to the 50 threshold, indicating ongoing yet fragile growth.
