US equity futures rose on Friday, pushing their month-to-date rally to fresh record highs amid growing hopes that a resolution to the conflict with Iran may be near. Futures on the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nasdaq 100 were up as much as 0.4%.
President Trump reiterated that the conflict could end soon, as Tehran appeared to accept key concessions that would underpin a ceasefire agreement. He also announced a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
Crude oil and refined product prices declined, pulling bond yields lower and brightening the macroeconomic outlook, which in turn supported equities and speculative AI-related names. Oracle and Microsoft gained more than 1% in pre-market trading, while Nvidia, Tesla, and Meta also traded higher. By contrast, Netflix dropped more than 10% after its Q2 guidance missed expectations, and Truist Financial traded lower following its earnings release.
