Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan increased by 16.8% year-on-year in April 2026, slightly below the 17.4% growth recorded in March. Manufacturing growth also eased (20.7% vs. 22.3% in March), largely reflecting weaker output in basic metals (15.2% vs. 22.2%) and rubber and plastics products (12.1% vs. 19.2%). Growth in mining and quarrying likewise slowed (7% vs. 10.2%).
At the same time, output in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply returned to growth (3.6% vs. -4.1%), and water supply output expanded at a faster pace (9.5% vs. 7.3%). Over the first four months of 2026, industrial production rose by 14.7%, slightly above the 14.2% increase recorded in the same period a year earlier.
