Turkey’s manufacturing sector operated at 74.2% of its production capacity in May 2026, up from 73.8% in April and marking the highest level since December 2025. Capacity utilization rose across several categories. In durable consumer goods, utilization increased to 70.6% from 68.9%, while in non-durable consumer goods it inched up to 73.1% from 72.0%. As a result, overall consumer goods capacity utilization climbed to 72.7% from 71.5%.
Intermediate goods also recorded a slight improvement, with utilization rising to 75.2% from 74.9%. In the food and beverages category, capacity utilization increased to 73.2% from 72.4%. By contrast, utilization in investment goods remained unchanged at 70.3%.
