Croatia’s industrial production fell by 2.1% year-on-year in April 2026, following a 0.8% increase in March. This marked the sharpest decline since November 2024 and reflected weaker activity across all major sectors: manufacturing (-1.5% vs +1.8% in March), mining and quarrying (-0.7% vs +3.3%), and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (-11.3% vs -6.2%).

Within manufacturing, significant contractions were recorded in several branches, including other transport equipment (-28.3% vs +27.2% in March), textiles (-16.0% vs +3.0%), wearing apparel (-14.3% vs +3.7%), leather and related products (-16.2% vs +6.4%), and other non-metallic mineral products (-14.9% vs +7.4%).

On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production declined by 0.6% in April, after a revised 1.1% drop in March. Over the January–April period, total industrial output was 0.2% lower than in the same period a year earlier.
