Latvia’s consumer price growth moderated in May 2026, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 0.50% month-over-month, down from 0.60% in April 2026. The latest data, updated on 9 June 2026, indicate a slight cooling in price pressures on a short-term basis.
The figures show that, while prices are still increasing compared to the previous month, the pace of that increase has slowed. In April, the CPI had advanced 0.60% versus March, whereas May’s 0.50% reading shows a less pronounced monthly gain. On a month-over-month comparison basis, this suggests a modest easing in inflation momentum as Latvia moves into the mid-year period.
