Denmark’s Inflation Picks Up to 1.9% in May, Easing Further Away From Lows

Denmark’s consumer price inflation accelerated in May 2026, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 1.9% year-over-year, up from 1.4% in April 2026. The latest data, updated on 10 June 2026, indicate a modest re-strengthening of price pressures after a period of relatively subdued inflation.

On a year-over-year basis, the May reading compares the price level in May 2026 to that of May 2025, while the April figure did the same against April 2025. The move from 1.4% to 1.9% suggests that, although inflation in Denmark remains contained, the disinflationary trend seen earlier in the year has paused, with prices now rising at a slightly faster pace than in the previous month.
