Argentina’s Inflation Cools Again in May as Monthly CPI Slips to 2.1%

Argentina’s inflation eased further in May 2026, with the National Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 2.10% month-over-month, down from a 2.60% increase in April 2026, according to data updated on 11 June 2026.

The May reading marks a continued slowdown in price growth on a monthly basis. In April, the CPI had already decelerated to 2.60% compared with the previous month, and the latest figure suggests that inflationary pressures are continuing to moderate.

On a month-over-month comparison, the “actual” May figure reflects the change in prices from April to May, while the “previous” April indicator captures the change from March to April. The successive declines in these readings indicate a tentative but sustained easing trend in Argentina’s short-term inflation dynamics.
