European equity markets were poised to open lower on Tuesday, following fresh record closes in the previous session, as investors focused on US–Iran peace negotiations and political developments in the UK. The US Treasury granted a 60-day license allowing the production, shipment, and sale of Iranian oil, sending crude prices to a three-month low. However, Iran’s nuclear program remained a significant source of uncertainty after US Vice President JD Vance claimed Tehran had agreed to admit nuclear inspectors, a statement Iranian authorities have denied. On the economic front, investors will be closely watching the latest PMI readings across the region, due later today. In premarket trading, Euro Stoxx 50 and Stoxx 600 futures were down 0.9% and 0.7%, respectively.
