Sentiment improved among service providers (8.5 vs 8.3), construction firms (4.3 vs 3.8) and traders (4.2 vs 3.3), with a particularly strong gain among retailers (6.0 vs 4.7). By contrast, confidence among manufacturers weakened further, falling to -4.4 from -3.5.
