Sweden’s Monthly Inflation Slows Sharply in June, Easing to 0.4%

Sweden’s consumer price inflation eased markedly in June 2026, with the month‑over‑month Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 0.4%, down from a 1.0% increase in May 2026. The latest data, updated on 8 July 2026, point to a clear moderation in short‑term price pressures.

The June figure, measured on a month‑over‑month basis, indicates that prices are still rising but at less than half the pace recorded in the previous month. In May, the CPI climbed 1.0% compared with April, while June’s 0.4% gain reflects a noticeable cooling in the momentum of price increases.

Given that the “Actual” reading compares June to May, and the “Previous” compares May to April, the data suggest that the inflation pulse weakened significantly as the second quarter drew to a close, potentially reducing immediate inflationary concerns in Sweden’s economy.
