BASF rose 3.8% after unveiling a new share buyback program, while Siemens Healthineers advanced 4.7% as upbeat earnings from US peer GE Healthcare lifted the broader healthcare sector. Deutsche Bank added 1.1% after posting record second-quarter profits, whereas RWE was little changed despite raising its outlook for 2026 and 2027 following a stronger-than-expected first half.
