Investors are now focused on the upcoming RBI policy meeting, where the central bank is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged. Markets will also track the HSBC manufacturing PMI, which is projected to edge down to 53.9 in July from 54.2 in June, as well as key US economic data for further direction.
Foreign investors have returned to Indian equities, with improving growth and earnings prospects providing support at a time when AI‑driven trades are losing momentum elsewhere in Asia.
Among individual names, notable gainers included Urban Company (up 13.6%), Aditya (5.1%), Redington (4.7%), and Divi’s Lab (4.2%). On the downside, ZEE fell 10.7%, while Muthoot dropped 9.7%.
