Denmark’s Inflation Eases to 1.7% in July, Extending Disinflation Trend

Denmark’s consumer price inflation slowed to 1.7% year-over-year in July 2026, down from 1.9% in June, according to data updated on 10 August 2026. The reading, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), continues the country’s recent disinflation trend.

Both the current and previous figures are measured on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month with the same month a year earlier. June’s 1.9% reflected the annual change against June of the prior year, while July’s 1.7% shows a further weakening of price pressures compared with July a year earlier.

The moderation in CPI suggests inflation in Denmark is moving further away from recent peaks and closer to price stability, a development that may ease pressure on household budgets and provide policymakers with more flexibility in the months ahead.
