Ghana’s economy expanded by 6.0% year-on-year in Q2 2026, easing slightly from 6.4% in Q1 but maintaining a strong overall growth trajectory. The services sector remained the primary driver, rising 8.0%, underpinned by a 30.9% surge in information, communication and technology activities. Industrial output increased by 4.3%, led mainly by the oil and gas sector, while agricultural production grew by 3.9%. Government Statistician Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu also underscored the sharp easing of economy-wide price pressures as a key positive development.
