FX.co ★ Finland Current Account Swings to Deficit in July

Finland’s current account moved to a deficit of EUR 242 million in July 2026, compared with a surplus of EUR 1,960 million in the same month a year earlier. The shift was primarily due to a sharp reduction in the goods surplus, which fell to EUR 232 million from EUR 2,117 million in July of the previous year. At the same time, the services deficit widened to EUR 718 million from EUR 590 million, while the primary income surplus declined to EUR 439 million from EUR 581 million. In addition, the secondary income deficit deepened to EUR 195 million from EUR 148 million.
